Mental Health Assessments

Mental health disorders are common. Up to 20% of adults experience depression and anxiety. Despite the need for mental health care, it can take many years before people receive effective diagnosis and treatment.

SCID-5 for Assessing Major Mental Disorders

I utilize the SCID-5 as a standard tool when I do independent mental health assessments. The Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-5, Clinician Version (SCID-5-CV) provides a semi-structured interview to assist in making the major DSM-5 diagnoses. For individuals that feel a personality disorder is causing their struggles, I also use the SCID-5-PD.

PAI

The Personality Assessment Inventory (PAI) is a self-administered assessment that we complete together. It is a 344-item questionnaire that provides relevant information for diagnosis and screening of psychopathology.

RIAS-2

The Reynold’s Intellectual Assessment Scales assesses both verbal intelligence (problem solving and reasoning using acquired knowledge and skills) and nonverbal intelligence (reasoning and spatial ability using novel situations and stimuli). Additionally, it provides information about your working memory.
