Welcome to Therapy Dynamics. I’m so glad you’re here.
I bring a deep commitment to creating a space where you feel safe, understood, and respected. Whether you’re navigating the challenges of being neurodivergent, dealing with anxiety or trauma, or exploring identity and relationships, I want you to know: you don’t have to mask here. You are welcome exactly as you are.
Why I Do This Work
I know firsthand how hard it can be to seek help when systems aren’t built with you in mind. After years of working in research, education, and clinical settings, I realized my true calling was helping others like me, who have often felt misunderstood. I bring empathy without pathologizing, expertise without hierarchy, and curiosity without judgment.
My Professional Background
I’m a licensed professional clinical counselor with advanced training in psychological assessment, autism, ADHD, learning disabilities and language disorders evaluation.. I hold dual master’s degrees in Molecular Biology and Counseling & Psychological Services, with a minor in Psychological Assessment. I’ve completed extensive training under a PhD neuropsychologist and spent several years conducting psychological research on PTSD and administering assessments at the Minneapolis VA. I bring both scientific rigor and deep empathy to my work.
Today, I offer:
- Neurodiversity-affirming assessments for autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and mental health (ages 3 through adult).
- Individual therapy
- Social communication skills support
What to Expect When You Work With Me
I strive to offer a space that feels:
- Nonjudgmental: You are the expert on your experience. I’m here to listen, reflect, and support.
- Affirming: Your neurotype, identity, and communication style are never something to “fix”.
- Safe and Collaborative: We’ll work together at your pace to define goals and next steps that feel right for you.
Beyond the Office
Outside of work, I’m a spouse of 32 years and a parent to five amazing humans. I’m also pursuing my EdD in Public Health Policy, focused on improving care for autistic individuals and advocating for systems of change in mental healthcare and support services.
I enjoy doing jigsaw puzzles, snuggling up to my dog Misty, singing, and playing the piano.
Let’s Connect
I believe that every person deserves access to care that recognizes who they are, not who they’re expected to be. Whether you’re here seeking answers, support, or just someone who understands, I’m truly honored to be part of your journey.
